Widget + Pals — WiPals for short. Friendship that lives in a widget.
You don't have to post.
Your phone handles it.
Your Pals. Always Close.
WiPals turns what your phone already knows — battery, music, motion, weather — into one short, dry line and drops it on your close friends' lock screen. You never have to open the app.
Eight people, max. No likes, no followers, no feed.

What Pro adds
Taken from the app, unretouched. Names and lines are from a sample circle.
Three steps, then nothing
Build your circle
Send a link, they tap it. Eight people at most — the ones actually close to you.
Choose what speaks
Eight layers, each one switched on or off on its own. None of them required.
Put the phone away
Your status changes on its own in the background. Friends see it on the lock screen and flick an emoji back. That's the whole loop.
Real examples. Lines come from a hand-written catalogue — nothing is generated on the fly, and nothing claims to know how you feel.
Eight sources, every one your call
Without opening the app
WiPals actually lives on your lock screen, not in the app. Two sizes on the lock screen, plus circle and photo widgets on the home screen.
On a locked phone the home screen widget may show grey bars instead of content: iOS hides your friends' lines on a locked screen. It comes back when you unlock. The lock screen widget is not affected.
Built to disappear
WiPals is not an archive. Everything on the server has an expiry, and those expiries are written into the database itself — not left to our good intentions.
Statuses come from sensor readings and won’t always be right: a phone left at home, a location signal drifting. WiPals guesses — it doesn’t claim.
A recap every evening, a ritual on Sunday
Your circle's day adds itself up. You write nothing, tap nothing — a card just lands in the evening.
Daily Recap
At 9 PM your circle's day is counted: how many statuses, how many reactions, how many people; where the circle gathered, the liveliest hour, who was still up past midnight.
Sunday Ritual
Once a week, 30 titles find their owners: night owl, battery hero, step champion, reaction magnet… The card arrives as a Live Activity on a locked phone and mirrors to the Mac menu bar on macOS 26.
Pinned friend
Want the same person on your Lock Screen every time? Pin them. The rest stay in the circle; only they stay on the Lock Screen.
When a circle goes quiet, WiPals hosts it: it writes a line of its own on the Wall. It never pretends to be a person — it is plainly WiPals, it never reaches the widget and it never takes a seat in the circle.

The free version speaks with battery, music, steps and a rough location. Pro opens all eight layers — weather, Wi-Fi/mobile, calendar and venue join in, and the lines get more varied.
Prices vary by region; the price shown inside the app is the one that applies.
